Amalfi Coast wedding costs: what venues publish and what to add

What the published prices at our Amalfi Coast venues cover, how to compare a villa, a historic house and a hotel, and the real cost of transport.

Of the three Amalfi Coast venues on 5 Star Weddings, two publish an indicative price and one quotes only on request, and the two published figures measure different things: one is a nightly rate for a whole villa, the other a hire fee before any food. Comparing them means turning each into the same shape: venue, food and drink, beds and transport, for the same date and the same number of guests.

What the published figures mean

Villa La Rondinaia, Ravello

Villa La Rondinaia indicates exclusive hire from €15,000 a night, with a minimum stay, as given on its 5 Star Weddings listing; the villa does not publish the rate on its own site and sends buyout conditions on request. The rate takes the whole villa, its gardens and pool and six bedrooms for 12 people. Whether wedding food and drink are included, and how many nights the minimum stay is, are for the villa to confirm.

Palazzo Suriano, Vietri sul Mare

Palazzo Suriano indicates venue hire from €5,000 to €12,000, depending on how exclusive the day is, as given on its 5 Star Weddings listing (checked September 2026). Catering is a separate contract: the palazzo offers a choice of three local caterers, or your own chef by agreement. The house has nine bedrooms.

Hotel Raito, Vietri sul Mare

Hotel Raito quotes weddings on enquiry. It is a 77-room hotel with its own banqueting kitchen, so the quote is likely to be built per guest, with rooms booked alongside. Ask for both in one proposal.

Three ways the money is spent

The hotel model often looks dearer per head and cheaper overall, because the transport line shrinks. Ask each venue to price the same guest list so you can test that.

Transport: a real line in the budget

On this coast, moving people costs money and time.

Scheduled ferries are the cheapest way along the coast by day. Travelmar’s 2026 fares from Salerno are €12 to Amalfi and €17 to Positano, or €10 and €14 on the adult group fare, with €3 for each piece of luggage (Travelmar fares, 2026). Sixty guests crossing from Salerno to Amalfi and back on the group fare comes to €1,200.

Scheduled boats do not run late. In the timetable valid from 7 September 2026, the last boat from Amalfi to Salerno leaves at 19:10 and the last from Positano at 18:30 (Travelmar timetable). The evening of the wedding needs cars with drivers or a chartered boat, both quoted individually, so ask for those prices early.

Two of our venues help here: Palazzo Suriano books transfers from Naples airport and from Salerno and Vietri sul Mare stations, and Hotel Raito lists a shuttle among its wedding services. The cost of each is to confirm.

The other lines

Getting figures you can compare

Send each venue the same brief: your months or dates, weekday or weekend, number of guests, nights and rooms. Ask what the price includes, for which season, and how long it is held. Put the answers side by side in four columns: venue, food and drink, beds, transport.

Questions couples ask

Does exclusive hire include the catering?

Not always. At Palazzo Suriano the caterer is booked separately. At Villa La Rondinaia, which has its own restaurant, what the nightly rate covers is to confirm with the villa.

How many guests can stay at the venue?

Twelve at Villa La Rondinaia, in six bedrooms. Palazzo Suriano has nine bedrooms, with a third bed in rooms on request, and many more at Hotel Raito, which has 77 rooms and suites.

Can guests use the public ferry on the wedding day?

For a daytime crossing, yes. For the journey home after dinner, no: the last scheduled sailings leave in the early evening.
