Several London hotels we list build the morning after into the wedding package: The Dorchester includes a complimentary night and a Champagne breakfast for the couple, and The Londoner includes breakfast with the wedding night suite. For guests, the day usually means a late breakfast, a lunch outside if the weather allows, or afternoon tea before trains and flights.
Breakfast and the wedding night
The Dorchester’s wedding page also adds afternoon tea for two in The Promenade on the first anniversary. For guest rooms, Dorchester Collection offers one complimentary room night for every 25 booked, two upgrades and a welcome amenity in each room.
At The Lansdowne Club off Berkeley Square, a full English breakfast is included for wedding guests who stay, and they can use the original 25-yard Art Deco swimming pool, the gym and the salon. Non-member guests aged 16 and over pay a temporary membership fee of £25 a night, according to the Club’s brochure. At Kimpton Fitzroy London, every 2025 wedding package includes the couple’s wedding night.
Lunch in a garden
Behind The Goring in Belgravia is a lawned garden with planted borders, which the hotel describes as London’s largest private garden, with croquet on the lawn. The Veranda, a glass orangery over it designed by Russell Sage, seats 30 and holds 50 for drinks, and its windows open in warm weather.
For a larger lunch, the Garden Room seats 44 and holds 100, with sliding glass doors to a private patio and the garden. The Goring’s published private dining set menus start at £80 per guest including VAT (Spring and Summer 2026), rising to £130 on the Autumn and Winter menus, with an optional 15% service charge.

At The Ritz London, The Secret Garden is an outdoor bar and restaurant reached through the Arlington Street entrance. The hotel publishes opening hours of 11am to 11.30pm daily, weather permitting, and a minimum spend of £50 per person Monday to Wednesday and £75 Thursday to Sunday (checked October 2026). Being outdoors, it needs an indoor alternative for a wet day.

Afternoon tea before the trains
For guests leaving that evening, afternoon tea ends the weekend without another late night. It is served at:
- The Ritz London, with sittings at 11.30am, 1.30pm, 3.30pm, 5.30pm and 7.30pm, from £95 per adult and £73 per child as published by the hotel; jacket and tie are required for men.
- The Savoy, in The Gallery under its stained-glass dome, from 12pm to 6.45pm, with a Twilight Tea from 6pm to 9.30pm.
- The Goring, in The Veranda.
- The Dorchester, in The Promenade.
- Kimpton Fitzroy London, whose original dining room was designed by Charles Fitzroy Doll, who later recreated its interiors for the Titanic’s first-class dining saloon, according to the hotel.

The London Wedding Atlas covers the wider planning, from seasons to budgets.
What to ask the venue
- Whether a late checkout can be arranged for the couple and the wedding party.
- Whether guests who are not staying can join breakfast, and how it is charged.
- Whether a garden, terrace or private room can be held for a lunch, and the wet-weather alternative.
Questions couples ask
Is breakfast included for the couple?
At The Dorchester the wedding package includes a Champagne breakfast, and at The Londoner the wedding night suite includes breakfast. Elsewhere, ask the events team what the couple’s room includes.
Do we need to book afternoon tea in advance?
Yes. The Ritz runs fixed sittings and The Savoy takes reservations by phone and email, so book once the guest list for the day after is known.
