Jamie Aston

Jamie Aston started his first shop in Marylebone in 2005, and the studio is now based in Hackney, East London. He remains closely involved in every wedding the studio accepts, and a limited number are taken on each year.

Weddings range from an intimate ceremony in the city to large celebrations of five hundred guests or more, in the UK or overseas. Past work includes floral doorways for a wedding in Venice and suspended delphinium clouds built and hung by hand.

“I just loved the industry and I knew I could push the industry further than simply working in a flower shop.”

Jamie Aston, Founder and Creative Director

The studio designs bridal bouquets and buttonholes, ceremony aisles and arches, hanging installations, reception centrepieces, tablescapes and entrance installations, and can dress a whole venue. Its look is modern and sculptural, with white and green as a common base that can grow into jewel tones or abundant colour.

From the same Hackney base Jamie runs a floristry school, including an Event and Large-Scale Floristry Course that teaches the techniques used in the studio's own installations. Spear's 500 named Jamie Aston a Top Recommended florist for 2025, and the studio's work has appeared in Livingetc, ELLE, Tatler, Condé Nast Traveller and Vogue.
