Shilpa Reddy

Shilpa Reddy trained as a doctor before she trained with flowers. In 2015 she left medicine to found her own floral design studio from a small workshop in Wood Green, north London, and built the business up gradually before it became a full-time studio.

The studio's signature is colour. Where many London florists settle on white and green, Shilpa's portfolio runs to fuchsia roses, blue hydrangea and trailing clematis on a ceremony arch set against a pale-blue ballroom, and to a full Hindu wedding mandap with carved silver pillars framed in rose, dahlia and marigold. A classic white and green scheme is designed too, on request.

“Colour, used generously, rather than apologised for.”

The work ranges from a single bridal bouquet to ceremony arches, ballroom installations, staircase displays, long reception tables and intimate tablescapes. Venues include The Berkeley in London and Coworth Park in Ascot, part of the Dorchester Collection, and Shilpa is recommended as a preferred florist at the Shangri-La at The Shard.

Press coverage includes Gardeners' World Magazine, BBC Two, The Evening Standard, Metro and Stylist Magazine, and the studio holds a 5.0 average across 49 Google reviews. Alongside weddings, Shilpa runs a mobile flower school teaching flower arranging, terrarium making and wreath making, and the studio builds long-term silk floral installations for hospitality clients.
