Phuket Romance is a wedding planning studio and online guide to getting married in Phuket, led by founder Juanita and her partner Stefano. Juanita has planned destination weddings in Thailand for more than a decade, and also led the development of wedding locations in Hawaii, Bali and Phuket for Japanese customers. Stefano, a business designer who has lived and worked on four continents and speaks five languages, runs the platform side of the business.
The studio works with international couples who want to marry in Phuket and the nearby Khao Lak coast, many of them planning from another country and time zone. Juanita takes on only a limited number of planning clients each year so that each couple has her direct attention, and she sees her role as a secret bridesmaid who understands a couple's story before she designs the day.
Planning is offered at three levels. Comprehensive planning covers every detail from the first idea to the last dance and suits couples who do not live in Phuket. Wedding management supports couples who have already chosen a venue and vendors and need the day run smoothly. Wedding styling covers flowers, stationery and decor for couples who want help with the look of the day.
Alongside the planning service, Phuket Romance runs a venue finder with photo galleries, package prices and reviews of Phuket and Khao Lak resorts, a directory of local photographers, stylists, florists and celebrants, and a series of real wedding stories. Recent celebrations have taken place at resorts including Katathani, The Nai Harn, The Pavilions Phuket, The Boathouse, InterContinental Phuket, Avani Khao Lak and Devasom Khao Lak, in beach, garden, villa, Thai-traditional and Catholic settings.

- 05The wedding weekend
The planner and an on-the-day team run the rehearsal, ceremony and reception, resolve any issues as they arise, and can help with welcome events, rehearsal dinners and brunches.

Yes. The team has organised Thai traditional ceremonies and Catholic weddings at St. Joseph Church, as well as non-denominational beach and garden ceremonies led by a celebrant.

Juanita works in English, and the team plans weddings for international couples from Australia, the United Kingdom, Asia, the United States and Europe.
When is the best time to marry in Phuket?
