Francesca Resciniti runs her planning studio from Rome. Before weddings she took a degree in foreign languages and spent eight years as a technical translator for IBM, then joined another wedding planner who needed a partner to handle her enquiries. The two still work together, with a team behind them: Francesca's studio is in Rome and her partner's is in Tuscany, which lets them cover much of central Italy between them.
Most of her couples live abroad and come to Italy to marry. Her team concentrates on Rome, Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast and Cinque Terre, and travels further when a couple asks. The weddings on her site include Villa Miani, Villa Aurelia and Hotel de la Ville in Rome, the Orsini-Odescalchi Castle at Bracciano, Villa La Ferdinanda at Artimino, Villa Il Garofalo near Florence, Castelfalfi, Positano and Ravello, and Hotel Pitrizza in Sardinia.
“Throughout my career, I have shaped my work around a simple belief: what many perceive as obstacles are, in fact, opportunities to create something truly exceptional.”
Francesca Resciniti, founder
She takes no more than 12 weddings a year so that each couple has her full attention. Packages are built around the couple, from paperwork alone to day-of coordination, though she prefers to handle the whole plan. She also works as a wedding designer, choosing colour palettes, decor, flowers and lighting with the couple.
Paperwork is a large part of the job. Francesca guides couples through civil and Catholic weddings, the Nulla Osta, Atto Notorio and certificates of no impediment, sworn translations and booking the town hall or church. She is an ordained officiant and leads symbolic ceremonies herself; her team includes celebrants who speak English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and German.
The scale runs from elopements for two, including same-sex elopements in Tuscany, to large weddings in villas and castles. In 2014 she was the face of Matrimonio all'italiana, a wedding programme on Sposa TV.
