Il Mio Matrimonio is a wedding planning agency based in Rome, with its office on Via Giacinta Pezzana. Valentina d'Amelio and Valeria Montoneri set it up after about ten years organising large events: conferences, meetings and incentive trips. Valentina, who was born in Rome, now leads it and works with a team of collaborators who follow each couple through planning and design.
Valentina trained in biology and, by her own account, spent twenty years in corporate events, medical conferences and congresses, work she began while still studying. Her approach is what she calls tailor made: the venue, the theme of the day and the smaller details are all chosen around the couple, drawing on a network of suppliers she has built up over the years. On the day she directs those suppliers so the couple do not have to.

For couples from abroad the agency trades in English as My Wed in Italy. Its About page presents two planners, Valentina and Myriam Tedesco Genazzani, an event manager who trained in Rome, Milan and New York and earlier founded her own wedding business, La Rosa Bianca (Weddings & Luxury Events). My Wed in Italy handles venues, accommodation, flowers, cakes, photographers, music, transport and guest activities, and takes care of the civil and religious paperwork with consulates, churches and registry offices. It also plans elopements and vow renewals.
Rome is the base, and Valentina names Tuscany, Lake Como, Campania, Puglia and Sicily as regular destinations. My Wed in Italy adds the Amalfi Coast, the Italian lakes (Como, Maggiore, Garda and Orta), Costa Smeralda, Venice and the Dolomites. Published weddings include receptions at Castello di Tor Crescenza in Rome, a wedding in the Chianti countryside for an American couple, an Australian couple's wedding in Umbria, one in Florence and one on the Ligurian coast.
The agency was a winner at the Zankyou International Wedding Awards 2017 and carries a matrimonio.com Wedding Awards 2019 badge on its site. Alongside weddings it plans luxury parties and other private events.
