Noemi Wedding

Noemi Wedding is the practice of Noemi Andretta, an Italian planner who lives near Venice and plans weddings, micro-weddings and elopements for couples who live abroad. By her own count around 80 per cent of her clients come from outside Italy, from the UK, the United States, Australia, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, India, Singapore and Hong Kong among others. She has been planning for more than eleven years and says she has passed 350 weddings.

She describes herself as a freelance professional rather than an agency. She plans every wedding personally, the couple deals with her directly from the first call, and on the day she is there from set-up to the cutting of the cake, with assistants alongside whose number depends on the guest count. She speaks Italian and English.

Her regular ground is Venice, Verona, Lake Garda, Lake Como, Lake Iseo, the Dolomites and Tuscany. She has also planned weddings in Umbria, Piedmont, the Prosecco hills, Puglia and Sardinia. In the mountains she has worked at Lake Braies, Lake Carezza, Cortina and Alta Badia, and snow weddings in winter are a recurring part of the work. Venues she publishes as her own include Ca' Nigra Lagoon Resort and the Hotel Excelsior in Venice, Convento dell'Annunciata on Lake Garda, Villa Sigurtà and Villa Ca' Vendri near Verona, and Montelucci Country Resort and I Viticci in Tuscany.

She is also a symbolic celebrant. She writes a script for each couple and leads the ceremony in Italian, English or both, and has officiated on ski slopes at 2,000 metres, on the floating platform at Lake Braies and in open fields in Tuscany. For legal weddings she handles the civil and church paperwork with the town halls and parishes in the areas she covers.

Commercially, she takes no commission from suppliers and often negotiates rates for her couples. Couples can use her full service or ask her to find only some suppliers, and she offers a private planning service for public figures and couples who want no images shared. Her weddings have appeared in Modern Wedding Australia, Elle Sposi and Sposi Magazine, and she reports a 2024 award as Best Bespoke Destination Wedding Planner from an English magazine she does not name.
