The Dream Wedding Lab

The Dream Wedding Lab is a wedding planning and design studio in Rome, founded and led by Giulia, an Italian wedding planner. She plans weddings throughout Italy and across Europe, mainly for international couples, and also for Italian couples. Each wedding is built from the couple's own story rather than from a set formula.

Planning and design run together. Giulia takes a wedding from budget and venue search through supplier selection, logistics and the timeline to coordination on the day, and works with the couple on the colour palette, style, graphics, table settings and décor so that every choice belongs to the same idea. Decisions are made together at regular meetings. Full planning includes two wedding planners throughout and on the wedding day, when Giulia is there with her team.

“For me, organizing an event is much more than coordinating logistics: it is an art that blends attention to detail, color harmony, genuine listening, and a constant pursuit of originality.”

Giulia, founder of The Dream Wedding Lab

For couples living abroad she acts as their contact on the ground: visiting venues, talking to venues and suppliers, arranging appointments and keeping the project moving between their trips to Italy. Guest logistics are part of the plan, from hotels and transfers from airports and stations to wedding shuttles and a single sheet of timings, maps and dress code. Many couples turn the wedding into a weekend, with a welcome dinner or pizza party, tastings, cooking classes or excursions, and a brunch the morning after.

Her published weddings include two villa weddings in Rome, one with white roses and eucalyptus in a garden, the other with long imperial tables and deep red flowers; a stone courtyard ceremony in Tuscany; long tables among the vines in the Marche; a castle wedding near Rome; and a clifftop wedding at Torre La Cerniola on the Amalfi Coast in May 2026. She has also planned a wedding in Spain.

How they work

From the first message to the day itself

  1. 01Getting to know you

A first conversation about the couple's story, guest numbers, the destination they have in mind and the kind of wedding they want.

  2. 02Building the project

Style, priorities, venue, suppliers, budget and the planning timeline are set, with a moodboard for colours, flowers and décor.

  3. 03Venues and suppliers

Venue research and site inspections, then suppliers chosen to suit the style and budget, with proposals and availability gathered before each decision.

  4. 04Coordination in Italy

While the couple follow the project from home, Giulia keeps in touch with the venue and suppliers, arranges appointments and site visits, and checks progress against the timeline.

  5. 05The wedding

Two wedding planners on site to run suppliers, timings and the unexpected, alongside guest transfers and any welcome dinner or brunch around the day.

Questions couples ask

Before you write to them

How much does The Dream Wedding Lab charge?

No prices are published. Quotes are personalised, and the enquiry form asks for the wedding date, estimated guest numbers and estimated budget.

Where does The Dream Wedding Lab work?

Throughout Italy and across Europe, from a base in Rome. Published weddings include Rome, a castle near Rome, Tuscany, the Marche and the Amalfi Coast, plus one in Spain.

Can we plan a wedding in Italy while living abroad?

Yes. Most of the planning can be handled through online meetings and shared planning, with Giulia keeping in touch with the venue and suppliers in Italy, so trips can be saved for the moments that matter.

Who will plan our wedding?

Giulia, the founder, leads each wedding. Full planning includes two wedding planners throughout the process and on the day, and Giulia is there with her team on the wedding day.

Do they plan small weddings and elopements?

Yes. There is an elopement service for up to 15 guests and an intimate wedding service for up to 30 guests, both organised in full.

Can they look after our guests' hotels and transfers?

Yes. Accommodation, transfers from airports and stations, wedding shuttles and guest information on timings, maps and dress code can all be built into the plan.

Does a destination wedding have to last several days?

No, but many couples make it a weekend, with a welcome dinner, local experiences such as tastings or cooking classes, the wedding, and a brunch the next morning.
