Sugarcups Cake Design was founded in Tuscany by Marisa Vitali, who first trained as a classical musician and went on to a career as an opera singer, performing on major stages around the world.
A long-standing love of baking led her to cake design. What began as a hobby for family and friends grew into an established business making cakes for couples on their wedding day.
Marisa works on each creation herself and attends to the smallest details. Her idea of a boutique production of exclusive cakes draws couples from many countries who choose to marry under the Tuscan sun.
The cutting of the cake is one of the oldest wedding traditions and one of the most photographed moments of the day. Each cake is designed to look beautiful and taste delicious, made with carefully chosen organic ingredients and shaped around the couple's style and their Tuscan setting.
