Of the ten Tuscan venues listed on 5 Star Weddings, two publish wedding prices: Relais La Costa near Siena and Castello di Casole near Casole d’Elsa. The others quote for each wedding. The two published figures measure very different things, and reading them closely is the quickest way to understand how a Tuscan wedding budget is built.
A price that includes the stay: Relais La Costa
Relais La Costa is a country house with eight suites, between Siena and Monteriggioni. Its 2026 to 2027 wedding brochure prices weddings as exclusive use of all eight suites, per night, including VAT:
- Low season (March, April, October, November): from EUR 2,800 midweek, EUR 3,100 at weekends.
- Mid season (May, June): from EUR 3,200 midweek, EUR 3,900 at weekends.
- High season (July, August, September): from EUR 3,900 midweek, EUR 4,600 at weekends.
The minimum stay is two nights midweek and three at weekends.
A wedding fee of EUR 2,500 is added, covering exclusive use of the courtyard, garden, pool, spa and the Salone delle Feste, the party until 1am, parking, cleaning and VAT. The wedding dinner is priced separately, from EUR 160 per person, which covers a Tuscan aperitivo, a seated dinner of three courses, water and one bottle of wine for every four guests. The city tax of EUR 2.50 per person per night, from age 12, is extra.

What those figures add up to
The arithmetic below uses only the venue’s published rates, for its maximum of 60 dinner guests, with 30 staying in the suites.
- Three nights over a June weekend: 3 x EUR 3,900 for the suites, plus the EUR 2,500 fee, is EUR 14,200. Dinner for 60 at the starting rate adds EUR 9,600, so EUR 23,800 before anything else.
- Two nights midweek in April or October: 2 x EUR 2,800, plus the fee, is EUR 8,100. With the same dinner, EUR 17,700.
The difference, EUR 6,100, comes from the season and the day of the week alone. City tax for 30 adults over three nights adds EUR 225. The venue also requires a wedding planner, chosen from its partners, whose fee is not in these figures.
A price for space only: Castello di Casole
Castello di Casole, a castle hotel with 39 suites and two villas, publishes hire fees for each space in its weddings factsheet, including VAT and not based on guest numbers:
- Visconti Terrace: EUR 700
- The amphitheatre, for blessings of up to 150: EUR 1,500
- Limonaia Terrace, for dinners of up to 120: EUR 3,500
- Tosca Terrace, San Tommaso Chapel or the Courtyard: EUR 4,000 each
A blessing in the amphitheatre and dinner on the Limonaia Terrace therefore costs EUR 5,000 in hire before set-up, food, drink or a single room. The hotel asks for at least 10 rooms to be booked for a wedding, and for more than 25 guests it recommends exclusive use, which it offers for 26 to 150 guests at a price on request.
Venues that quote on request
The other eight venues do not publish a wedding price, including Castel Monastero, Castello di Velona and Villa Mangiacane. A quote from them will depend on the same levers that move the Relais La Costa figures, plus a few of their own:
- Who caters. Valle di Badia provides two fitted kitchens for outside caterers, so food is a separate contract. Most of the others cook in house.
- How many sleep on site. Castel Monastero can host up to 140 guests in house; Villa Mangiacane sleeps 58; Relais La Costa 30. Guests beyond that stay in nearby hotels and need transport.
- Whether you need a marquee. At Castel Monastero a dinner of more than 110 on the piazza needs one, according to its fact sheet, and the cost is quoted separately.
- Exclusive use. Castello di Velona and Villa Mangiacane both offer the whole property, at a price on request.

The costs outside the venue
Whatever the venue charges, these lines sit on top: a planner, photography and film, flowers, music, hair and make-up, the officiant or comune fee, transport between airport, hotels and venue, and any welcome dinner or farewell lunch. Many couples also cover some guest accommodation.
For the regional cost ranges and how they compare across Italy, see the Tuscany Wedding Atlas. This guide stays with what our listed venues publish.
How to get a comparable quote
Send every venue the same brief: your preferred months and whether midweek is possible, the guest count for the ceremony and for dinner, the number of nights and how many guests will stay. Ask each one to state what is included, whether VAT is in the figure, the minimum stay and the latest finish time. Quotes built on the same brief can be compared line by line.
Questions couples ask
Are Tuscan venue prices quoted with VAT?
Both published prices here include VAT. Ask every venue that quotes on request to say so in writing.
Is midweek really cheaper?
At Relais La Costa, yes: a midweek night is EUR 300 to EUR 700 less than a weekend night in the same season, and the minimum stay drops from three nights to two.
Why do most venues not publish prices?
Because the figure depends on the date, the number of nights, the guests staying and what the venue provides. A quote against a full brief is the only reliable number.
