Wedding venues in Sardinia
Sardinia is an island of extraordinary natural beauty, where turquoise waters meet secluded coves, granite headlands and stretches of white sand. Along the celebrated Costa Smeralda, elegant waterfront estates, private villas and luxury resorts offer exceptional settings for weddings overlooking the Mediterranean, with Porto Cervo at the heart of the island's glamorous coastal lifestyle.
Beyond the northeast coast, Sardinia reveals a quieter character. Historic towns, countryside estates and dramatic coastal landscapes provide a beautiful contrast to its fashionable resorts. From the Catalan heritage of Alghero to the southern shores around Cagliari, the island offers a distinctive blend of Mediterranean elegance, Sardinian tradition and natural beauty.

How to marry here: the seasons, the areas, airports and transfers, where guests stay, the paperwork and what a wedding costs.
Marrying in Sardinia
Short answers from what the venues have told us.
Is the Costa Smeralda the only part of Sardinia to consider for a wedding?
No. The Smeralda offers a specific resort product. The north-west around Alghero and the interior have venues with a more local character.
How do guests travel around Sardinia?
A hire car is needed outside the resort areas, and distances are significant. For large wedding groups, private coach or minibus transfers should be arranged.
Is the sea warm enough for swimming during wedding season?
Yes. Sea swimming is practical in June and September, and can form part of the wedding weekend.
Can we build a multi-day wedding in Sardinia?
Yes. Beach, archaeology, food, wine and landscape give enough to fill a three or four-day weekend.
