5 Star Weddings · Curated collection

5 Star wedding venues of the world

A curated selection of wedding venues chosen for their standard, setting and service. It is an editorial selection, not an official hotel star rating.

A venue is included when it has been reviewed against the selection criteria, it hosts weddings, it is listed with its consent and its record is complete. Where a venue holds an official star rating from an independent authority it is shown separately, naming who awarded it.

Choosing a wedding venue

01

Hotel, resort or country house?

The type of venue shapes the whole wedding: who else is there, where guests sleep, and how the day moves from ceremony to dinner. Venues include 24 hotels (exclusive use at 12, rooms for guests at 20); 7 resorts (exclusive use at 0, rooms for guests at 5); 2 country houses (exclusive use at 2, rooms for guests at 2). With exclusive use the property is yours; elsewhere, ask which rooms and gardens are private on the day.

Each country page compares its regions side by side.
