A curated selection of wedding venues chosen for their standard, setting and service. It is an editorial selection, not an official rating, and no venue pays to be in it.
A venue is included when an editor has reviewed it against the selection criteria, it hosts weddings, it is listed with its consent and its record is complete. Selection is never bought and never depends on membership.
This page lists the wedding venues in Italy that sit in the Luxury collection. There are 24 venues in it today. The selection is editorial: an editor has reviewed each venue, it hosts weddings, it is listed with its own consent and its record is complete. Nobody pays to be here, and neither membership nor payment decides who is included. Each venue keeps a single profile and a single address, and may also appear in the general list of wedding venues in Italy.
The regions with the most venues in this collection are Tuscany (11), Rome (4), Puglia (3), Amalfi Coast (2), Umbria (1). The kinds of venue are Villa (8), Hotel (5), Resort (3), Relais (2), Heritage hotel (1). Villas make up the largest group, so the ceremony, dinner and party can happen on one private property. Hotels and resorts are the second group, and they suit couples who want rooms for guests on the same site.
24 of the 24 venues publish a seated dinner capacity. It runs from 25 guests to 350, with a middle figure of 130. Capacity needs care, because the room or terrace used for the dinner can hold fewer guests than the property as a whole. The profile gives the figures the venue has provided, and where the ceremony figure differs from the dinner figure it says so. 21 venues list rooms or suites on site and 19 offer exclusive use in full or in part.
10 of the 24 venues publish a starting price. Where one is shown, the profile says what it is quoted against, for example venue hire or a price per guest, and the figures are in euros as the venue gave them. The prices are not comparable with one another because venues include different things. Where no price is published, none is estimated. The enquiry is the way to ask.
An Italian wedding has steps that a wedding at home does not: the civil or religious ceremony, the paperwork for foreign couples, and the choice of season. The Italy destination guide and the Atlas explain these from their sources, and each region page compares the areas side by side. Many couples work with a planner who knows the region. The luxury wedding planners page for Italy lists the luxury planners, and its members are chosen in the same editorial way.
Before an Italian venue appears here, an editor checks that its record is complete, that it has at least ten photographs and a written introduction, and that it publishes a seated dinner capacity. These are minimum standards, not a ranking. The cards follow the recommended order, with venues that have a checked starting price and reviews first and then by name, and no venue pays to rank higher. Editors review the list and can add or remove a venue whenever the facts change.
Filter by region, by type, by setting and by guests. Add venues to your shortlist, then use Check your date on a profile to send an enquiry. Your enquiry is passed on. A reply cannot be promised, and no time can be given for it. Reviews are shown only where a real, checked review exists, and 33 exist across these venues.
