These are the wedding venues in the United Kingdom that sit in the Luxury collection. There are 61 venues in it today. The selection is editorial: an editor has reviewed each venue against the selection criteria, it hosts weddings, it is listed with its own consent and its record is complete. No venue pays to be included, and membership or payment never decides it. A venue can also appear in the general list of wedding venues in the United Kingdom, with one profile and one address.
By region, the largest groups are London (25), Buckinghamshire (4), Surrey (3), Edinburgh (2), Gloucestershire (2). London has the most venues by some distance, and it has its own page. The kinds of venue are Hotel (36), Country house (10), Castle (9), Barn (2), Barn and farm estate (2). Hotels are the biggest group, followed by country houses and castle estates.
61 of the 61 venues publish a seated dinner capacity, from 30 guests to 800, with a middle figure of 150. A wide range like this is normal. A small private house and a large hotel ballroom serve different weddings, so use the guest filter first and read the profile for the figures a venue has published for the ceremony and for the dinner. 46 venues list rooms or suites on site, and 46 offer exclusive use in full or in part.
37 of the 61 venues publish a starting price. The profile says what it is quoted against, for example venue hire or a price per guest, and the figures are in pounds as the venue gave them. They are not comparable, because venues include different things. Where no price is published none is shown, and none is estimated.
A United Kingdom wedding is shaped by the season and by licensing. Many venues are licensed for civil ceremonies on site, and the profile notes where that applies. For travel, drive times and the nearest station, the profile uses the figures held for each venue. For guidance on the country as a whole, use the destination guide and the Atlas, which draw on checked sources.
Before a United Kingdom venue appears here, an editor checks that its record is complete, that it has at least ten photographs and a written introduction, and that it publishes a seated dinner capacity. These are minimum standards for the page, not a ranking. The venues are not ranked, and the cards follow the recommended order: venues with a checked starting price and reviews first, then by name. No venue pays to rank higher, and the collection is reviewed by editors, who can add or remove a venue at any time.
Filter by region, type, setting and number of guests. Add venues to your shortlist and use Check your date on a profile to send an enquiry. Your enquiry is passed on. A reply cannot be promised, and no time can be given for it. 128 checked reviews exist across these planners, and a venue with none shows none.
The London page narrows the collection to the capital. The full list of wedding venues in the United Kingdom, the destination guide, the Atlas and the 5 Star Edit are linked below, together with the editorial lists on the blog.
